I just want to see if there are others like me in this forum from Denver. During my interview on June 5th and my last week appointment, I came across some people. But we really didn't have a chance to chat.. If you are out there, please share your experiences. Thanks...

Hi Ipek,

Sorry, just came across your post. But yes I am doing AOS in Denver too for DV2006. (I've been on vacation, just got back)

Hi rpar003,

Congragulations! It seems like it you have received your welcome e-mail.. So your card should be mailed very soon..

My experience with Denver office has been very frustrating. Even though I was told that I am approved, they haven't officially done it since they didn't request my package from KCC. Also, they lost my DV processing fee and they found it later on. I was there yesterday and they called the guy I had the interview with and he said that he got my package on Monday. He said that I'll get a letter in 2-3 weeks but still no status update on my acct online.. So, I am kind of dissapointed that he is taking his time to officially approve my case...

Anyways, enjoy your new status!

Thanks Ipek - hopefully you will have good news soon too!

When we went for our interview at the end of July we were told that I was stuck in name check, but that my husband was all ready to be approved. (they also didn't have our DV receipt, but we got that to them in less than a week). We asked them to please go ahead and finalise his case, so then at least one of us would be through. But it appears they didn't, as we both got our welcome notices together. But I'm very happy this all seems to be coming to an end - you tend to be more forgiving then! Hopefully it will be quicker for you (it was just over a month for us between interview and welcome notice online).

When I went for my interview I tried to show the officier all the paperwork and photos we'd prepared, but she didn't even want to look at any of them - very disappointing!

Good luck - I hope you get your welcome notice soon!
