Anybody applied for PCC (Calcutta passport) from CG-Ny

I have applied for PCC from CG -New york on July 18th. My passport has been issued from calcutta. I was told that I would get the PCC in 30-35 days.

So far they have said that they haven't received the PCC. Anybody going thru this problem please post your experience. I have to fly by mid Sept and I am not sure when I can get PCC from here.

Also would appreciate feedback on alternate solution to get PCC from india. :(
 
PCC is issued generally in about 45 days. Since you applied for PCC on 18th July and I am assuming CGNY go the applciation on 20th july, I would say send your passport for PCC and PCC stamping by end of August and they will return your stamped passport with pcc within 3-4 days which is 1st week of sept. (remember there is a long weekend) So you should be fine if you are travelling mid sept.

After mailing your passport talk to the CGNY office (ext 667) and explain and they are very understanding people.
