if 90 days had elapsed and if EAD is still pending then you
could go in person to local INS office and get the EAD
instantaneously..

But 90 days means that after your receipt date, right? If you get your application noticed after one month, totoally you have to wait for 4 months to get interim EAD.

you can get your receipt notice any time..
what matters is the mentioned receipt date in it.
90 days from the receipt date mentioned in your receipt.
(I donno if its 90 calendar or busienss days )

I have also, applied for EAD/AP recently. Also planning a trip to India. Can some one suggest, is it better to go on EAD/AP or H1 visa. When I return, there will be only 2 weeks left on my H1. Is it OK to leave the county and return with H1 Visa or get EAD/AP and then leave the country. Thanks
