Any way to get US wide driving records?

Hello friends,

I am highly frustrated with trying to obtain my driving records. The DMV of my previous state of residence said they dont have any of my driving records because they destroy everything within 2 years of no activity. I know that I received a speeding ticket in a 3rd state but I dont remember where exactly. I called a number of municipal courts in counties in the area that I think I got the ticket but none of them have my citation record either.

So at this point, I dont have the citation/disposition from the court for this ticket and I dont have a driving record from the state DMV showing I have no outstanding citations. If the INS officer asks me for proof of this citation and that I paid it off, I have nothing to show.

What do I do? Is there any online site or any other place where I can obtain my entire US driving history? Will my insurance company have this info? Please help. I am tearing my hair in frustration.

You don't need to report minor traffic tickets on your N-400 and you don't need to mention them during interview. Don't waste your time searching for records.

which state did u get the ticket in....
say u got ur ticket in texas>>>http://www.texasonline.state.tx.us/NASApp/txdps/TXDPSLicenseeManager
say u got ur ticket in montana>>>
https://app.mt.gov/dojdrs/
.......................................................

just have patience>>>
google around, there are a lot of people who say do not carry proof for tickets
at the same time thre are as many immigration officers who still ask for the proof for paying of tickets...
In uscis say there are 10k immigration officers they all have a different approach...So always be prepared, its our responsibility to accomodate them with whatever proof they might ask for i,e if u want ur case to move smoothly without delays due to RFE.this is not rocket science.
Just anticipate and be prepared.
You just need to google around....
Better safe than sorry.

>>>>>>>>>>Dont forget your tax returns from the past 3 years.
Other day i read another patrons posting saying she did her taxes online.
>>>>if u did your taxes online just go to that website, log on to ur account and get the required information.

Some of the interviewing officers may ask only if you report minor traffic tickets on the N-400 form. Most don't bother.

Look on the positive side - if DMV destroyed your records, its unlikely USCIS will know anything about the ticket either.
