Any use of the backlog petition?

I hope it is somewhat useful, but I really don't think so. The same applies to your petition about the phone service. However, I do appreciate what you are doing.

Do you guys know recently CSC sent out a memo saying they discovered bunch of Nov cases and won't move the processing time till Oct 2003, is that the result of the CSC backlog petition?

If so, will VSC send out same memo. and only process Oct/Nov/Dec before falsely going on to Feb? Still 40% Dec cases
waiting for decisions.

These petitions makes any sense to BCIS if it is signed by CEOs of big companies and influential politicians.

Well, CEOs don't care if you become permanent resident, they just want you work for years, then kick you out, actually this will
save them pink slips.

Politicians they are white, they don't like immigrants, esp. after
911, nobody dare to mention immigration anymore.

We are out of hope. We're just bad luck.

DengDeng, can you tell us where is the CSC memo?

By the way, I disagree with your point about white politicians. The last thing I want to imagine is that you are a racist.

Still there are more pro-immigration bills than anti-immigration bills on the pipeline. But the laws to offer grandfathering for illegal immigrants takes higher priority over legal immigration. Legal residents pays taxes but illegals get preference.

Samansa, I'm not a racist, but many politicians are, listen to TV news and you'll now how color ppl are hated by some ppl in this country.

The memo you can find at various site.

Dengdeng,

just FYI.. 61 members of the US House of Representatives are minorities.. Please check you fact book next time you make such statements.. Also, being non-white doesn't necessarily mean being "pro-immigrant".

This petition is only going to make them aware that there are 2001 RD holders who have still not received GC's. Perhaps they might refocus their effort on 2001 filers. But I do not see any other changes happening. Remember this is Government agency. There is absolutely no incentive to perform well. Even if you suck you still have a job. If they had performance based bonus based on number of approvals, then only they are going to put an extra effort. Otherwise its just going to be "ChaltaHai" attitude.

But what about the new appointed BCIS director? He wants everyone comparing him to old BCIS director and scolded him
for longer backlogs?

See, they backlog 485 more, more H-1B petiiton, more EAD,
more Advanced parole, more RFE and 2nd FP, they are creating
problems for themselves.

BCIS is not creating more problem for themselves they are getting more money for H1-B renewal, EAD renewal and AP renewal.
