Any Update on 1-800 Phone System

Long back during MAY 2004, Michael Aytes (Director of Customer Service at USCIS) told AILA that they are is in the final stages of developing the phone system that will allow customers direct access to information officers at the service centers for questions regarding pending cases and to facilitate problem resolution.

Does anybody here anything regarding this matter ?

Calling the 800 number is useless, I have tried calling them 4 times in the last 2 months. I am a Sept 2002 filer, I did my FP2 on July 28,02. They do not have any more information than what you see on the case status website, you are put on hold for 25 min and then they tell you, they are working on such and such date. nothing else, they do not have access to our files. Last time I called was today.
