Any time frame to complete the I-485 process ?

I am holding \'L1-A\' visa now. I submitted my I-485 on June 2001, and just got the approval notice this week. I know that I need to go to INS office to do the fingerprints and passport stamping to complete the whole process. My question is that because I\'m on business trip outside U.S. until end of this year, and if I do it at that time, any impact ? Is there any time frame to complete the whole process ? By the way, my Visa will be expired on June of 2003.

Why dont you talk to your lawyer

But as the cost of getting this done is not very high - why dont you fly to US and get this done

Why take a chance

Just fly on the weekend and stamp it on Monday morning and fly back whereever you are

You are talking about delaying it for 8-9 months which is beyond any reasonable days

Dont delay it by more than 2-3 weeks

This Green card is a big privilige and dont rock the boat
