Any time constraint to submit FP?

Is there any time constraint i.e Does INS ask you to submit the Finger Printing within a certain number of days or can we do it at our convenience? My wife has gone abroad on AP and will be back only after a few months. I was concerned that she may not be here when the FP notice arrives.

Yes...on your FP notice it tells you the last date you should do FP by. If you do not submit FP by this date, your application will be denied.
