Any suggestion for my current sutivation??

Hi,

Made 5th attempt yesterday at US consulate, chennai for H1B visa(221g). Visa officer asked me about the project and my responsibilities. After that he collected all the documents apart from my passport. visa officer said that "Your case requires further administrative processing and the Consulate will contact you once this has been completed".

Did any one have similar experience? if so could you please share it.
How much time it will took for administrative processing.

admin processing

the chennai consulate is processing cases that have been pending from 2004.If you have your case number you can visit chennai.usconsulate.gov and check the status of yoru admin processing online, this is good efforts from the consulate. Generally we are left in the dark about admin processing cases. ow atleast we can check online.

Thanks for your response. They given a case number to me but in mentioned website, it is asking the batch id. so how to identify it. what is the batch number?
