VSC is THE slowest on NIW cases among the 4 service centers. :mad:

Have you heard of any recent successful NIW case in VSC?

A friend of my mine submitted his NIW application to VSC in 08/2002 and received RFE in March. He answered the RFE within the 2-month time frame and his case got approved in early June.
 
what was the nature of his RFE?

My friend did the original application by himself, positioning his field as biochemistry including some cancer research. The RFE asked for a few more reference letters commenting specifically on his work in cancer research from top-notch experts in the industry. He then hired a lawyer to help him and submitted 3 letters, only one was from a top-noth expert.

Hi. We received our approval yesterday. Found out on online service.

i-140: (two submitted)

AP(2): 10/2/03 (after hiring a lawyer in St. Albans to ensure both i-140 were together with the one i-485 filed)

i-485 "Concurrent although filed at later date"
RD:9/22/02
RFE: 03/04/04 - two months of paychecks & letter from company for continued employment
AP:07/12/04

04/15/04

Call Kennedy. Got 3 people calling me back last week. I also suspect my wife's EAD filed a month ago triggered someone to look at our file. Best of luck.
