Any recent successful CP in Islamabad

Has any one gone through consular processing in Islamabad recently? I am interested in finding out if they do security clearance on all the applicants or only in selected cases. My impression was that NVC does the name check before they schedule the immigrant visa interview.

Any response is appreciated.
 
I have applied for my parents in Islamabad for CP, they have got the final interview last dec (2005) and since then they are waiting for adminstrative processing.(Name check). They have been to USA many many times on B-1/B-2 visa.
