Any problems in future, If I extend visitor visa for in-laws??

Hi,

My in-laws I-94 is valid until Apr/15/05. We are thinking about extending their B1 visa. But before that, I would like to get your opinion on few things.

1. Is it advisable to extend the visitor visa, if we have a plan of bringing them again to US?.

2. If we go for extending the visa, when should we submit the application?. ie. 2 months or 1 month before their I-94 expires ?

3. We live in California. Has anyone applied for extension at CSC and got it recently?. I heard from someone that nowadays BCIS rejects the visitor visa applications right away and there is no point in going for extension. Is it true?.

Please help me to make a decision on this.

Thanks in advance,
Devi.

NO problem if you extend it.

1 month.

I'm planning for extension in CSC. haven't heard any rejections.

visitor visa extension

yes it is advisable to apply for an extension if you plan on filing a visa petition for them at some point in the future.

INS will credit them with an extension on present stay, for duration of time application is at the service center, i.e., until INS makes a decision.

where I live, we have not heard any rumor of any service center summarily denying extension applications out of hand...
