RD August 21: Got RFE on July 19th

I too got RFE according to AVM. My lawyer is still waiting for the RFE.:confused:

RFE issued on 7/23/02

Waiting for it to reach the lawyer.

RD - 7/12
ND - 8/20
FP - 3/25

And now
RFE - 7/23
 
I received the RFE, issued on 7/17/02

Details:

1. Current employment letter stating date of hire, prospect for continued employment, job title, work duties and salary.
2. Copies of last 4 paycheck stubs
3. Copies of Federal Income Tax Returns, W-2s & Form 1099 for 2000 and 2001

Got the RFE Details

To day I got the RFE Details. Recently I had updated my address. Because of that INS officer issued an RFE for employment letter and 2001 tax filings and 2001 W2 forms. I had sent all these documents plus pay stubs (as a precaution) to the lawyer. Hopefully he will mail them to VSC tomorrow.:mad:

I don't know. My company appointed the lawyer, so I do not have direct contact with him. Usually, he is very prompt, so I assume he will mail it by 7/29/02 (if he hasn't done it already).

I will let you know, as and when I have more information.

RFE Issued: 07/09/02
Details about RFE:
1. Employment letter
2. Last three months paystub
3. 2001 tax form(all schedules, w2)
RFE Received by INS: 07/23/02

AVM: Says additional information received on 07/23/02, and it will take between 365-500 days, and since the preliminary process is completed it will take about 400 days. Is it a common message for every RFE?

RFE notices mentioned that time of process will be anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months.

How long does it take on an average after RFE is received by INS?
I have seen some of my friends had their 485 approved in 3-4 weeks once the RFE was received.
 
A question to all those who got RFE

I have a question for all who got RFE regarding Employment.

Did u guys change jobs as per AC21? Is that the reason you got RFE?
 
I had changed Job. But I had also updated my address. My lawyer told me that they had noticed address change and issued RFE for Employement letter, 2001 W2 form and 2001 tax returns.
 
I had checked AVM today. It says"on July 31st we received you response to our request. It will take up to 500 days for further processing".
 
AVM changed to response received for RFE

My RFE was received by INS on 7/31/02 also (according to AVM).

Looking at the general trend, we should be approved by 8/8/02...

If you check the Cases with RFE's in Rupnet, the time frame for approval is 2 to 3 weeks. Hopefully we should here something before August 20th.

My lawyer should mail out my RFE today or tomorrow (latest).

You are right, typically it takes 2 to 3 weeks after receiving the RFE response.

Lately though, it is taking a week or less. Ofcourse, I am being very optimistic... :D
