Any one received Docs thro FOIA recently?

Hi ,

Sent a FOIA request this 15 th January 2005. Got a letter with a ESC reference no in Feb 17th.

After two days one more letter - stating this kinds of cases are being sent to a separte department in Lee' summit, MO state.- Reason is that they are becoming centralised.

1).Just wondering how long it would take for me to get the docs?

2).Did any one get I-140 petition (the actual I-140 form) ( not about the recpt copy)?

3) can we track these FOIA requests?

Reason - I have a offer from a company and their attorney wanted this to confirm certain things. They may not wait longer for me....

Dont know how long will it take but I got mine today (3/3/2005). My application details:
FOIA request sent on: Nov 29 (sent by normal mail)
Receipt received: Dec 18.
ESC20040087**

I got teh actual I-140 form. I dont think you can tract FOIA requests.

Can you file 485 with this actual form of 140 not the receipt 797. Did anyone filed in this way and did INS accepted.
