Any one has similar exp?

My I485 is processed from CSC (California service center) . As I Live in Grand rapids, Michigan I went to DETROIT for stamping.but my pass port is expiring in next june, they said they can't put the stamp in Passport, but they put the stamp on I-94 like card with my photo and the seal and with other details.

My questions are: 1) Anybody had similar situation?
2) As my GC is processed from CSC and stamped in detroit from where do i get my plastic card. (If it is NSC, It will be slower, If it is CSC it will be faster)...Anybody has similar situation ?

I haven't, but I have read elsewhere in online forums that is a perfectly valid way of providing proof of status in the event that your passport expires < 1 year. Just carry it with you and your new passport.

I think you have asked these questions before. Move ahead and enjoy, you are ok.

I guess all the plastic cards are manufactured at one location. But, even if they come from different service centers, do you have any choice here (to change the center)?
