Here are the details: I140 for AOS approved under EB2. Submitted I485 . When I called IIO last week and informed that my I140 has sent to India for education and employment verification. Does anyone have the same situation? What I heard is once it’s gone for verification to home country it will take years together for processing. Greatly appreciated if any one-give good advise in this situation.

DPA if you can give some light on this.
 
There was some kind of verification in India for me. somebody came to my parents house for verification. mine (I140)got approved in 4-5 months

Yes I have seen cases like this. INS has listed some universities in under suspect list. I think they send for verification on random basis.

Do u think someone can go to your house in India without letting you know they do this and verify your info??

You have to be informed of the process prior to being scrutinised .
And its invasion of your privacy if they do something of this sort .

Dont bend yourselves to immigrate to this country or for that matter anywhere other country try to preserve your family personal Integrity .


Make sure you are informed of the preocess.


FYI my I-140 had been long approved and I am in the waiting period for -485 .

I mean ABC111. ABC 111, maybe your degree is dubious to INS. Did you send copy of your degree certificate to INS?
and employment verification letter? when your 140 is processed?
