Here are the details: I140 for AOS approved under EB2. Submitted I485 . When I called IIO last week and informed that my I140 has sent to India for education and employment verification. Does anyone have the same situation? What I heard is once it’s gone for verification to home country it will take years together for processing. Greatly appreciated if any one-give good advise in this situation.

What is ur experience? Are u under EB2? and what is ur Qualification?? How come u got under this scrutiny??

Don't Worry

There shouldn't be anything to worry if you have all clear records.
Just wait & watch for any new policies that INS is devising/implementing these days !!!

How long do they take to verify.
EB2. heard IIO.
What is the chances for EB3 to check.
 
When did you apply for I-485

This is something new I am hearing, that the I-140 is being checked after applying for I-485. When did you apply for I-485? Did you apply for I-140/I-485 Concurrent processing? Please provide details such as your priority date(Labor applied date), I-140 applied date, I-485 applied date etc., Have you received your fingerprinting. Sometimes it might be just that your I-485 application is being connected to your orginal I-140 application if you opted for consular processing and then switched to AOS. Maybe instead of stating that IIO mentioned that they have sent it for verification.
