How many recos did you have. I have heard people use recos from senators also. Is it possible?
Hi, SumeetBabu:
I sent 8 out and kept two in hands, just in case of RFE.
I asked the congress senators and they told me that they didnt write reco letters for immigration purposes any more. Also, NIH ppls dont write letters any more. I got one from state senator. I dont know if it is useful.

I e-filed my I-140 NIW NSC on 12/12/05 and mailed in my support material on the 14th. I saw a LUD on the 3rd of Jan 06 and nothing after that. Is this normal ? It seems like everything just goes into a blackhole. I have seen others mention they got approved in 2 weeks, 1 month and so on.

getting a little anxious

well. i took a close look at those fast approved cases in NSC. almost all of them got labor approved first and then filed 140. and i personally think those cases are easy and NSC may like to look and approve those cases first. NIW or EB1 cases always contain big packages and may need longer time to review them, which means we NIW or EB1 have to wait much longer time than them.
i understand your feelings a lot since we both are in the same shoes.

Thanks NIW2005-2006, I have friends who filed EB1-OR/EA and EB2 NIW from TSC and were approved in 18 to 14 days. Is it true that TSC is faster or is it just our luck? I called NSC about 3 weeks ago and asked them weather they received my support material, they politely asked me to call back after 60 days.

If any one could give their input on my case I'd appreciate.
EB2-NIW
From a retro country (India)
4+ years as postdoc now Instructor ( not permanent)
15 papers 5 first author ok journals 3-8 impact
25 presentations 1 oral presentation at an international meeting
94 citations
1 provisonal patent
co-invistigator in a proposed RO-1 grant (awaited)
11 support letters (2 indipendent US and Belgium both have cited my publications)

I self prepared my petition and I believe have satificed the 3 prongs
I have argued at length about the economic implications of the patent
and discussed about my citations.
My cover letter was about 11 pages is this ok or must it be longer.

views welcome

Thanks

and all the best to all of us

Hi, SumeetBabu:
I personally think that you have really strong background. Dont worry. I think that everybody here will get approved. Just the issue of time. Good luck to both of us.
Take care.

Thanks

Anybody any idea the avarage processing time for EB2 NIW at NSC. What I see is it is purely random, but I am sure there must be some pattern to it.
