stamping after COS H4-F1
as long as your wife is in the US after her COS, she can study on the F1 and work part-time on campus ... but if she travels abroad, she needs to get the stamping done at a US embassy. It's best to go to your home country to do that if needed.

Please help urgently
My son was on h4 that is expiring on nov 10.He has obtainied i 20 that shows that he can start classes in jan06.
Will he be out of status from Nov to jan.Should he leave the country?He applied for I 539 on Oct 19.What should he do .Please let me know asap.
Also he went with his friend for a trip to Mexico without our knowledge while coming back he was held by the authorities as the visa was stamped till 2004.We provided with an i539 that showed that he could stay till Nov 10.(he is going to be 21 on Nov 11).
The authorities took his original I 94 and let him in once we showed the I539 but they did not provide any new I 94.
Is he out of status?If not , what shall happen once his present visa expires in Nov and the F1 takes time.
Please let me know asap.
