How many people are waiting for I-1485 approval after I-140 amendement approval. My I-140 approved on Jan 16th and still waiting for 485 approval.

Well there are people on this board who are waiting after their I-140 redo\'s got approved in late November (Arjuna) and early December (Samyukta). I myself am waiting with my I-140 redo approved on Dec 21, 2000....

My 140 redo got approved around Nov 30 th.
Meanwhile my FP expired as it was done on 6/99.
Gave fp again on 1/9/01. It has been processed by FBI and sent to INS
the next day. But so far INS hasn\'t received it.
Waiting for the approval.

My I-140 redo was approved on Nov. 16th (3 weeks after it was sent to INS). I had to call VSC in first week of Jan. to have it approved the next week.

I-140 redo approved Jan 8, 2001.
I-485 approved Jan 25, 2001 according to the AVM. Have not received any notification yet.

Hi guys,

I saw a lot posts regarding 140 redo around. I am just wondering
if someone could update my knowledge?

1. What does 140 redo mean?
2. In what circumstances, the 140 redo is requred?

Did your I-140 message change to approved. I have the i-140 approval notice but still the message did not change to I-140 approved. However my i-1485 changed to \'Your Response was received on ... blah blah. Did the I-140 message change for all the people who have thier i-140 redo\'s approved. Just trying to find a trend of how the AVM is updated.

I think we will all go crazy if we try to find out the AVM change/update trends. But to let you know, my I-140 redo was approved on Dec 21, 2000 and it was reflected in the AVM over the Christmas weekend. However they have issued another RFE for my I-485 on Jan 22, 2001 and we have replied to the same on Jan 26, 2001 (the reply was delivered to INS Vermont on Jan 27, 2001), but the AVM for my I-485 still says "On Sep 28, we sent a request for...." indicating the first RFE!!!!

World... one recommendation.... this is what my lawyer did. When he called into the INS on 01/16/01, they told him that the I-140 redo was approved, then he called again on 01/17/01 to confirm that the case has been merged with the I-485 (which it was :) and then on 01/20/01 he received the I-485 approval notice in the mail AD 01/18/01.
