Well - what steps have you decided to take ? I thought if JIT is way past
your RD/ND date then standard steps to follow is to call the emergency number
and find out why it is lagging. If it is due to name-check delay then follow
name-check procedures to expedite it. Have you done that ?

My 140/485 filed in April 2004, USCIS hold it for my Name Check pending, any idea to expedite Name Check?

Me too:

They should not hold 140 for fkn namecheck. Altough I am hearing from different people that it can be the case. Otherwise how could you explain that 140&485 are getting approved at the same moment.

my 485 app was filed in jan 2004. 140 was filed in sept 2003 and approved in feb jan 2005.

Looks like most of us are concurrent filers with 140 stuck in FBI name check for no reason.

I initiated an enquiry with no avail. So is the case with FBI name check through email.

I think we should take this to the next level. Say, E-mail/fax campaign and/or writing to congressman..

Let's research on this forum regarding the above two, and see how we can proceed. Let's know if you have other options as well..

My 140 isn't even approved yet. 2nd FP notice means that I'll have to go thru all the finger print checks again, and they probably won't look at my file for another 2-3 months I was hoping to receive some news about my 140 soon, but I guess my luck just never fails.

Hi Microdev,

i didnt call USCIS after that.But i sent an enquiry for 485 to USCIS.It came out with "Additional Security Pending"I dont know how long will it takes for me to go through.
