I am still waiting for my I140/I485 approvals, but in the mean time I will be planning to do my visa stamp for the 7th year H1B ext. visa.

Do you see any issue during H1 & H4 stamping processes ? And also do you see any issue in my I140/485 applications ?

Thank you.

if you have applied for AP, then why do you want to get H1 visa stamp??
For H1 visa stamp you need to mail your passports or go to your home country to get the stamp?? either way it is a risk. There is nothing wrong in being cautious before mailing your passports.
If you are applying at the consulate in your home country, there is a small confusion, visa stamp is for non-immigration purpose, but you have filed 485?? contact your attorney, clear all your doubts and then fill in the form.
If you have an answer from your attorney please post here...

That's correct that I don't need to apply for a visa stamp, but I'm still waiting for I140 approval.... In the past one year, I have been watching in this forum there are some denial message even after EAD/AP approvals. But most people feels that once you're cleared with EAD/AP, it should be fine.

Yes, you're correct that there is one field wherer they ask for "immigration applied ? "....Good point...let's discuss with my Attorney and let you know.

Mean time, I appreciate all your feeback/experience .

If you need to get stamp on passports by mailing to get revalidate, do it quick, as July-17 is the last day for receiving the applications for revalidation

My 7th year H1 approval letter looks the same as earlier H1's and seems to serve as extension of status AND as a valid petition for H1/H4 stamping. In fact my wife did the H4 stamping based on this extension without any issues.

Company filed I-485 in Apr 04 and got the A#. Attorney also filed for the 8th year H1 extension including my A# on the application as EAD approval did not come through before expiry of 7th year H1. Now EAD has been approved. Attorney says that though the H1 is supposed to allow dual-intent and retain validity even after petitioning for an immigrant visa, only USCIS can decide whether to approve 8th year H1 or not as there is a valid EAD to replace the H1 extension. Will update again when the decision comes through.
