Hi folks,

As I mentioned, my case is approved - on December 13th.

I received the approval notices - for myself, wife and daughter in the mail on Dec 22nd - saying me and my wife need to go to INS office for stamping + I89 form (finger prints).

I have some questions -

1) What is I89 ? Both - me and my wife have already had the
fingerprints.

2) Secondly, they are not invivting my kid for stamping. (She is
under 14) Isn't my daughter's physical presence required ?
Should I take her passport with me and get it stamped ?

3) I don't have any intimation from the company lawyer.Should I
go directly for stamping or wait for intimation from lawyer ?

4) Is Dec 31st day-off for INS .. any ideas ?

I-89 is the USCIS internal form used to produce your actual card. The card for adults needs fingerprint of index finger which is taken at the time of passport stamping. This is not the standard fingerprinting done for security checks.

Should I take her passport with me and get it stamped ?
If you plan to travel or see a need for travel before the card arrives, you should get your minor daughter's passport also stamped. Minor children do not need to give fingerprints for the card. Cards usually take from 1 month upto 1 year.

You can directly go for stamping, your lawyer is not required to be involved.


4) Is Dec 31st day-off for INS .. any ideas ?
As far as I know the feederal government is not closed on 31st.
