Hi guys,

How long it is taking these days to get the application receipt from the Vermont Center?

How long it is taking these days for the Vermont Center to cash the checks?

Please share your expereinces.

Hi,
I was scheduled to have my finger print taken at 8:00AM yesterday at 227 Livingston St, Brooklyn, NY. I went there at 7:30AM. There was a line of 100 people outside the building. We were allowed to enter the building at 8:00 AM, and was out by 8:30. The INS employees were very professional & polite. If the whole N-400 process would proceed that way, probably it would take only few months ( < 6 months ) from submitting the application to completion the oath. Unfortunately that's not the reality. Anyway, please keep posting your experience & timeline so that we all can share each other's frustration, suffering & joy.

VSC - Received application Receipt

Today, I received the application receipt - Receipt with Exception.

It also says "Missing evidence(s)........"

Is it normal? I thought, I sent all the evidences they asked along with the application. Any experiences?

It also says about the notification of the intervew, "You should expect to be notified within 90 days of this notice." 90 Days - that does not seem right based on what I have heard from you guys.
 
Evidence

It seems that every single notice has the sentence about missing evidence. You will be informed about what to bring on the interview letter. Look around previous posts on this forum and you will find people recommending to bring more evidence that they ask for.

Thanks. Looks like finger print is taken with in a month and a half after submitting the app. So was the case last year who submitted the app. around the same time as this year
( around July or August ), and still lots of people are waiting for the interview. I would like to know if the waiting period is shortening. So, is there anyone in this forun who had applied in the beginning of this year and got interview notice? Pleaseeeee
post your time line if you got interview notice. It feels lot better & gives hope that we are almost thereeeeeee when we see that people on queue are moving.
 
Expected Number of days for Notification

Can you please tell us what does your application receipt says about expected number of days it will take for INS to notify you for the interview? My receipt says 90 days.
 
Hi dbhargava, my receipt says 540 days. You must be the luckiest guy in the the eyes of BCIS. Good luck.
