I am interested to know if anyone has worked with an immigration attorney that was truly knowledgeable and helpful with their DV case?

I have so far consulted with 3 different attorneys who all know less about the process than I do...

please post your experiences and how they were able to help you.

(ps. i am not looking for an attorney, just interested to see if anyone had a positive experience)

No

They wanted to charge me 5.000$ for AOS and they didn't know what 'current' means. You have everything on internet and you don't need them.

agree with everyone so far. One lawyer knew nothing about DV, one tried to tell me I won't qualify because I don't have 2 yrs work experice although I have high school diploma, bachelors and masters, the same one also told me i couldn't send in my AOS forms until my number is current etc etc....

I asked around and I was told that for an AOS application I have to pay from $3,000-4,000 and this does not include filing fees or legal fees in case of a RFE. Another lawyer wanted to charge me $250 for a consultation. This is a lot of money for most people but can prove worthy if your case is complicated.
