Any Delayed Adjustees who came on J1?

My lawyer says that there is a delay in I485 adjustments for those who came on J1 Visas and got waivers of the Home Stay requirements.

Has anyone heard this from anywhere else? Are any of the Dec RDs originally J1 status holders?

Can your lawyer give you any reason/logic/link/URL behind this? I haven't heard of it - if one has waiver already, why adjudication be delayed? If no waiver, they may ask proof of fulfillment of the HRR or the waiver. There are many EB-1/OR being approved without interviews, and many of those EA-1/OR may have in past been on J-1 as well. I am really puzzled why your lawyer had this to say.

I spoke again. She has just heard it on the grapvine. She did say this was not connected to waivers per se, but for all JI holders regardless of country of origin.

My RFE was for Waiver documentation, even though I had sent the paerwork with my initial application.
