Hello, I am new to the forum and seeking some help. My wife is a Chinese citizen, I am an American citizen. I am starting the I-130 petitioning at the beginning of February (would have been sooner, but the passport photos she sent me didn't meet the USCIS requirements, glad i called them first).
I was wondering if anyone had been through the process of bringing a spouse from China to the USA and would mind sharing their experiences, or happen to know how long I should be looking at waiting.
I am really new to this. She is subject to the 2 year residency restriction ( was an exchange student in the USA). She has one year left on it. I am terrified it will be a nightmare and take years to get her to the USA.
Does anyone have any knowledge of how long it takes? I had an attorney from a visa agency say China is the slowest to process visas out of all the countries they have dealt with.
