My DS230 part one review was completed by NVC and sent to NWD. In the meantime I came off project after having been billable 4 years continuosly. The employer did not take a second to lay me off.
Is it possible for me to join other company and still keep my Green card intact same as it can be done in EAD cases ? Is there any chance of my servival ?
 
If you have been laidoff, your CP ends there ...

U cannot change employers till ur CP is done ... if you can work with ur employer and ask him to send u on a Long vacation and also take the employment letter from him then its possible to go for CP but it will has risks ....

I would recommend that u ask him to keep u on payroll (with 0 pay) for a month so that u can file 485 .... u should immediately try to go the 485 route ... if nothing works then all you would have is that you can carry ur PD ....

this is sad..

during the course of the CP research, I even heard of several employers who do things like that. is there any way you can let others know who this employer , anonymously ofcourse? Ofcourse, only after you exhaust all avenues of help from him.
