For I-485 case, TSC is 12 months longer than other 3 INS center.
We should send letter to Congressman, senator, TSC director to expedite the I-485 processing at TSC.
Right now TSC I-485 processing time is march/2000, and 69,000 cases out there waiting. But other 3 centers is processing 2001 cases.
Now I-140 is improved from 12 months to 8 months. TSC should improve I-485 also. Without our applicant and tax-payer\'s request, who cares how long it will take.
Here\'s the draft letter for I-140, which I used for my I-140 case. We can just modify it to I-485. The format doesn\'t metter. The important thing is send letter to express our concerns.
Draft letter:

Those of us with applications at the Texas Service Center are encouraged by the fact that the INS is working hard to process as many cases as possible by even transferring EB3 cases to other service centers. We are optimistic that under your leadership, these steps will be used to rectify the inefficient and slow processing that is occurring at the Texas Service Center. A person living within the Nebraska region would have a 6-8 month advantage in the processing of their I140 application. Vermont and California are also several months ahead of Texas\' I140 processing. These advantages may be critical if the visa numbers regress again.
This situation is discriminatory and will continue to cause hardship to the people who live in the TSC region. It should not matter where one lives in order to be treated humanely and equitably. We should not be penalized for where we live and for being hard working, law-abiding, tax-paying residents. Hard earned dollars have paid for filing fees and in return we expect service from TSC for those dollars.
On the TSC website it indicates that "The Center is committed to serving our customers effectively and efficiently". We are hopeful that through this process and the efforts of the new leadership at INS and TSC that they can once and for all live up to their claim. A great many peoples lives and livelihoods are at stake in this issue. Thank you for your efforts in these matters.
