Any body know if PD matters for Derivative Applicant?

I am a derivative applicant on my wife's employment based I-485. Her case was approved long back and received the GC. What will be the effect of PD in derivative applicants case? Do they check if the PD is current before approval? or it does not matter since primary was already approved?
 
I do not want you to loose your breath. My case approved Aug 2004, my wife's call still pending. Tried so many ways except WOM, it did not move even inch.

She had 4 FP's till now.

Only difference is she applied 3 months later than me ( my be similar to yours) I costing me more than 3 years, still no hopes.

btw: To answer your question, your PD applies to derivative also ( as per two laywers). My PD is sep 2001 - what is use of thinking. With in a year I will be ready to apply for citizenship.

Atlast : MIne is very simple and no issues case.

May be I will still be dreaming about GC even after my spouse gets the Citizenship..Oh well that is life...
 
Only issue I guess with your case could be banground check pending.

My wife's case even that is not an issue as per IO's and SR.
 
Yes I think I am in that black hole..

I always wonder who devised the system to check criminal back ground with name and dob. And it is a never ending check, may be the system goes in indefinite loop once they hit a match and no control after that.
