Status Enquiry on October 6, No response yet.
 
Count me inn.

Did status enquiry and got the letter stating my case is on hold for name check clearence. They also said they cannot give any definite timeframe.

Contacted state representative, they said they cannot help, if it is stuck for name check clearence.

Anything else can I do to wake them up?

Looks like it is going to be long wait for me.

If I were you I would write a letter to FBI saying that your case is being delayed because of Name Check and I would also attach the copy of letter I got from USCIS.

Initiating an inquiry doesn't usually help. Have you guys found out if your Name check has been cleared by the FBI? I've seen posts where members have actually written to FBI to expedite their Name checks. This is, of course, if your name check has been asked for by the USCIS and is still pending with the FBI. Have you called or written to your local congressman/senator?

Please search these forums for more information. Also check if your FP2 results have been cleared.

Thanks guys for understanding and feeling the pain. I wish these folks in FBI/BCIS could also show some feelings.

Anyway, Yes I did wrote a letter to FBI (had send a fax & emailed them alomost 3 weeks ago), but have not received any response from them yet.

When I called the local congressman, they said nothing can be done if it is under FBI name check. I wish I could show them the proof that other senators and congressmen are helping in expediting the cases.

Is there anyway I can find something in writing to show my local congressman. It will be lot easier to convince them if they can see other fellow representatives are helping in this regard.

I will appreciate if you can post this type of experirence or can point out in this forum.

What if name check is done?

What would you gurus suggest for me. My name check was sent to USCIS on Sept 27th. In response to status inquiry USCIS has sent me some generic excuse on FP check and the fact that they have no idea how long it will take.

Since your name check and FP2 have been cleared, it is only a matter of time before your approval comes. Keep following up with USCIS every 30 days. I think the delay is only because your name check has been completed only recently. Good luck.
