Any approvals with an expired FP?

WTF is an expired FP? How do you know it is expired? Usually, they consider FPs are valid for certain period of time (15 months or something like that). But there is no hard and fast rule about.. if they expire on this or that day. Could you please try to provide your source, if you found out somehow that your FP's are expired. General way of USCIS's operation is that they make sure that a case before being approved had the FP's done....preferably fairly recent. If they think the FP's are unacceptably ancient (This again is subjective. Depends on IO) then they might request another round of FP's before approval. This has been my observation.

The 15 month rule is because they archive the files to some difficult to reach location after 15 months. If yours are just a little older than that (say 16-18 months) and it so happens that yours have not been archived yet, they might approve your case without calling you in for another FP.
