Any approval for March 2003

Does any one got approval for I-140 with March 2003 dates in past few weeks. i don't see any approval from last few days

As a matter of fact - Anybody with NDs prior to Published Dates should be concerned . Please report here what you and your lawyers are doing ?
In my case my lawyer has initiated status enquiry on April 12th

my lawyer also initiate inquiry on April 20. Do you know how long it will take to get response from them. I can see they have touch my case on 3/30/04.
 

Did u guys read the mail circulated by Fujie... As per that letter and if that letter is going to be true... All cases filed between Sep 2002 and April 1 2003 concurrently will be held till 485 adjudication date is reached.

So chances are that people who applied concurrently suring the mentioned time frame would not get their 140 approved till the 485 date gets current. So its a looooooong wait guys!

Why the date of April 1, 2003?
What would happen to cases after April 1, 2003?
Or may be those after Apr1, 2003 would have to wait longer than loooooooooong.

dynobuoy - with due respect may I ask you where did you get this date range from? I have read Fujie's memo and I think people are trying to read too much between the lines. Someone posted if he/she should wait till May 2004 to file 140/485 etc. I would say in this kind of situation - someone like you should present the points with analysis and source(s) - it will leave less scope for confusion and misinterpretation.

I think Fujie's memo is wrong in two sense:
1. Does not talks about clearing backlog of old filers.
2. Does not address the time frame.

Apart from that, what I could gather was that - all concurrent filers who have not got 140 done(till April 30, 2004 and onwards) will get the benefit of 140/485 concurrent adjudication.

Also if you check NSC update - they have clearly said that concurrent filer's 140 date will be kept close to singly filed 140 date - so that beneficiary doesn't feels left out. I think rest of the service centers will follow NSC on this aspect as they are little ahead in implementing it.
 
If you read Fujies memo, it states clearly

--> 485 will be processed as per 140 processing dates!!

That means, 485 will be adjudicated along with 140, not the other way round!

--> It says that the process of concurrent adjudication starts from April 30th, 2004.....IT DOES NOT MEAN THAT CASES FILED AFTER APRIL 30th, 2004 will be concurrently adjudicated


All of us are skeptical of every move that CIS makes, but if we give them the benefit of doubt, then there is a good chance that concurrently filed cases will get concurrently approved. One of the objectives behind the change is to speed up process, not slow it down
 
No it does not means anything like that. All it says is that after April 30th, 2004 they will start adjudicating concurrently - that is all. It never says that only cases filed after April 30th, 2004 will enjoy this benefit.
