Guys
Could you post if any activity is going on with Feb 2002 filers whoose 2nd FP is done. How many months more we have to wait? PReviouly people used to post flood of approvals or some prediction about future approvals but now it looks like everyone is silent.
Thnaks

I received a response today from the office of Sen. Rick Santorum (PA) to my email sent on 10/14 from his web site. They asked me the 485 Receipt # and Date of Birth to conduct an enquiry with BCIS. They said that I should contact them again if I don't hear from their office in 15 days. Let's see what happens.

That's interesting.. I just hope that getting Sen. Santorum involved won't result in having your case tranferred to a local office. For Philly, it's another year of wait time on top of the 20 months already elapsed..

Just for the record:

EAC-02-136
1st FP: May 22 '02
2nd FP: Oct. 7 '03

P.S. No action on the series since 10/2/03 -- a local transfer

Why should requesting Senator evoke transfer ? I do not think BCIS views it that way. An inquiry is harmless. In any case what is the alternative ? And we have heard so many who got approved after some initiation of Senator.

It's anybody's guess how the BCIS views requests from congressmen -- the field is wide open for interpretation. I might argue that from the agency's point of view, sending a case to a local center kills two birds with one stone:

a. shows a response to the congressman's inquiry (which, theoretically, they must do since BCIS is federally funded).
b. puts the burden of additional security checks, clearance, etc on the local center (not to mention, that it's the local office that would be scapegoated should anything go wrong).

Not too many. Ever heard of catch-22?

The opposite is true as well.. Many have been transferred. And for others, not even senators' intervention helped.
