anxious to know how long it takes for EB2-NIW approval?

My own personal experience with the VSC (two H1B petitions, an EB-1 EA and an EB-2 NIW) is that the processing times on the AVM is pretty accurate.
My NIW at VSC was approved last summer after a 7 month wait. At the time, they had stopped processing all I-140\'s for several months to work on other things. This has happened in the past and will probably happen again.

The processing time in the receipt is 80-100 days, but 150-240 days from AVM, should I follow AVM? Do you think it\'s more close to the early days (80 or 150) or the later days (100 or 240)? How can I or my lawyer find out whether VSC has stopped proceesing? Thanks again.

For me, the early days on the AVM was the most accurate. YMMV. I used to read about the stoppage of I-140 processing on either Ron Gotcher\'s or Jose Latour\'s websites. Brian.

Seriously. Ron Gotcher claims that NIW take longer than most other petitions. Dealing with the INS can be a crapshoot. It could be worse...you could be dealing with the TSC. I entered the US at the beginning of May as a permanent resident after CPIV. All CPIV plastic cards go through TSC. My wife and son received their plastic cards 2 weeks later. I am *still* waiting for mine to be processed. They have all my papers but haven\'t gotten around to reviewing them. I can\'t possibly imagine a scenario where 3 packets of paper arrive on the same desk at the same time and take significantly different times to process. But it happens, and it happens often. Brian.
