Anticipating Sept interview. Is it OK to travel Aug 1st week ?

I am anticipating Sept interview.
I plan to travel to India in August 1st week.

Do you see any potential risk ?

I do have all the documents needed....

My lawyer says I need to wait till I receive
Packet IV.

I don't see a reason if I can pickup Packet IV
at Embassy window.

you have to have the lawyer on your side

i believe your lawyer is going to be receiving the packet IV. make sure he does not do anything stupid.

Thanks for the advice !! ........

I plan to notify NWD consulate to deliver Packet IV at a local address in Delhi.

OR I plan to pick at the window myself should it be lost.

Any thoughts ?

Make sure that ....

whatever documents are required to get notarised (like, i-134, translations, employment letter), get it done here rather than in India. I belive if you do it in India, it's not valid/approved
 
Also, EB interviews are towards the end of the month.. So you employment letter would be almost 6-7 weeks old. While it shouldn't be a problem, I would be more comfortable with a more recent letter.
