Anticipated problem while applying for Health Card

I Landed in Canada about a year ago and didn’t applied for Health card during that time. I returned back to USA. Now I am going to apply for health card. What should I say if they asks why you didn’t apply for health card?

I am in USA on project.

Please advice.

Tell them that you were not driving and were living as a paying guest and so there was nothing in your name with your address that can prove that you were living at that address.

I am using my friends address and I have bank account in Canada. All of my bank statements are going to his address. Is it sufficient for applying Health Card?

What should i say, if they asked why u hv not applied for health card from the last 1 year?

Your bank accounts should be sufficient, if that can confirm ur name and address.

Tell them you never needed to apply. Normally they won't bother if you have 3 pieces of ID; including passport, immigration document and something that says u r living at that place.
