Anoyne tried AC21 for self employment

denied? approved, any views

Recent memo allows that. But it is just a memo, not a law. I think in 2002 some one tried to do that at Chicago. They denied case in Interview saying that when you go for self-employment you will fall into investor category. So the I-140 is no more valid as your intent was changed from working for listed job on your Labor.

listed job on labor, if one is say still working for the same job description, I know it is difficult though bcos you one may be having the owner title too.

or

still with the same end client but directly as independent contractor.

Is the situation different as 1099 contractor.

Any issue on GC working as 1099 contractor for the GC sponsoring company with EAD

Hi,
I plan to start a computer consulting company (LLC or corp). Does anyone know whether I can use AC21 (in the future.. long way to go.. :( ) to join my own company as a consultant? My employer has moved on to other business and wants me to leave when I get GC anyway.

With ead, my spouse would be able to manage the company & I work for it as a consultant (similar role as what my GC is for). I also plan to get more projects. Would that in any way affect my GC?

can someone who has done it or knows someone who has done it please advise???
