I know that you folks are bored to death by my useless updates, well just bear with me for a few more MONTHS before I get approved.

Jul 15 Heard AVM Intent to deny notice mailed on Jul 12 2002.

Jul 19 Recieved NOID (Requesting I485A and 1000.00 each for anyone over 17)

Jul 19 Applied for EAD renewal.

Jul 26 Sent I485A and 2 cks for 1000.00 (Self and Spouse)

Aug 05 recieved new EAD card valid till Sep 19 2003.

Aug 07 AVM changed Fees recieved and processing resumed

Aug 13 Checked Online Banking and discovered checks for self and wife encashed

Aug 27 at 7am AVM still says processing resumed

Just now talked to an IIO and was informed that on Aug 23 my case was transfered to Newark/Teterboro office, and that a notice to that effect has been mailed to me. :(

I will PATIENTLY wait for notice, and update you folks as and when I GET UPDATED.

ISHWAR, ALLAH, GOD is anyone of you up there listening??????

Good luck..

Good to see some movement rather than sitting tight and waiting endlessly..You will pass the interview with flying colors :-)

July 16, our best wishes are with you!

I think you should write a book dedicated to INS/VSC after you get your GC.

Newark interviews are happening quickly so you're not far away from freedom. Just use this time to prepare for the interview - collect all the paperwork and be ready!

Wish you all the best!

July16,
Is there anything in your application that is out of the ordinary which is raising so many flags and does your attorney know what he is doing...
Good luck for the interview...wish you all the best.

Thanks Folks

for all the good wishes.

Jibran there is nothing out of the ordinary, Its for future employment, but this has been one nightmare after another, as far as the lawyer is concerned I thought I had one of the best lawyers (Neil A Weinrib and associates).

The only questionable issue I see is that my future employer is in NY and I am staying in NJ.

The other issue was being out of status, for which I have already paid the 1000.00 penalty each for myself and my wife.

So I dont really know, will keep you guys posted once I recieve the Transfer Notice.

Good Luck Buddy

You will get your freedom very soon. I guess it is a routine interview call. My best wishes to you and your family.

Everything will be fine

Most INS interviews will be cool. I have seen many cases where INS transferred pending June/July cases to local INS. It is only matter of time. So dont worry. I wish you all the best. If something is wrong they would not even encash your check. Looks like they just want to make sure about your future employment offer.

What do u mean by Out-of-status? Did yr EAD expire?

gcwait000

There was a gap of around 3 1/5 months between my H1 expiry and my application for Adjustment of status

oh ok....Good luck to you man. Just hang in there and be patient (easy to say but difficult to do - but we don't have a choice)

To all fellow waiters

I was always sure about the support on this forum, but when you are down and folks wanna support you, thats what counts, god bless you all, wish you all the best

You got a luck of a donkey! You are a good man, though!!

Everything is for good. May be GOD does not want you to go to Bombay in winter, eat junk food and get sick.

Stay put, buddy!

Wishing you the best

Wishing you the very best. I also think that since INS encashed the check, you should be fine. But please keep us posted. This is one peculiar case which should be maintained in the archive for future reference. All the best buddy

Well!! look at your signature line

Going back, it seems like you had premonition about what you are up to:

They ignored you for long time,

They laughed at you, made you pay, flung your file out

They are getting ready to fight with you.

But all of us know what's going to happen...

Cheers, and don't forget to throw a party
