I recently had my CP interview at Chennai and got back into the states today.
Here are a few points.
1. The VISA is delivered by Blue Dart the very next day at around 10:00 AM.. in Hyd.
2. On the VISA I noticed that they had interchanged my middle and last names and they had indicated that the consulate will not make any such changes. I mentioned this at the POE and the officer made a note of it, so I guess it should not be an issue.
3. Carry photo copies of your tax records as the consulate officer needs docs of your most recent tax year.
4. Dont carry any bag/backpack to the Chennai consulate as they make a big issue out of it and there are desparate people who will make money by safekeeping your bags while you go in for the interview.

And also list of docs to be prepared for Packet4.

First of all congrats.
Is this Blue dart thing compulsory for all immigration visas in Chennai consulate? Don\'t we have the option of coming and collecting the passport and packet in the evening?

Aim: Blue Dart is compulsory. Even if you stay in Chennai, you have to give your local address for the delivery.

PC is not required.
I was also carrying a translation of my BC as the form was in the native language (though it was filled in English). The officer was surprised to see the translation and indicated that its not necessary. BUT DO CARRY A TRANSLATION, you can get that done in India and get it notarized.
