Another RFE for my 485 within 14 days since the 1st one (haven't received it yet)

Two weeks ago I checked the INS web site for my I-485 status, and found that on July 31, 2003, INS mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information for both my and my wife's I-485 cases.

We haven't received those RFE letters from my damn slow attorney yet. However, today I checked my case status again, and found INS seemed to send another RFE to both my case. It said "On August 14, 2003, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case...". The similar thing happened to my wife's case also, it said "On August 11, 2003, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case..." for my wife's case.

How come? Did anybody experience this situation before? Any explanations?

it could be the same rfe but

they happen to update each time they generate and mailed out or send to the mailing/print department.
Just my guess.
 
It should be the same rfe. Most likely a letter was not generated the first time around, and hence a new message.

Something similar happened to my wife's ead renewal. For a couple of weeks it read 'the case has been approved....card ordered". We did not receive the card, but 2 weeks later the message changed (a reworded approval message with a new date), and the card arrived in 3-4 days.
 
StillHope why would your attorney get RFP letter. You should be receiving my mail. Did you change address after 485 was filed?

RFE is always sent to the attorney if you have one, and you have filled up G-28 form.

It should be the same RFE. NSC happend to send twice. Post RFE details once you receive it.
