Another RFE experience...

So I finally contacted my local Congressman last month about our i485. I think that helped, kinda, as he said that there's a case officer assigned to it, and they're going to issue an RFE - expect it in 2 - 3 weeks. Sure enough, on 3/4/04, my lawyer got the RFE. I'm convinced that it was the congressman's inquiry that got the case looked at, even if it did result in an RFE rather than an approval. :)

The RFE asked for 2 month's paystubs, last 2 years Federal tax returns, an updated biography (possibly because we changed address last year) and a letter from my employer. Because we've not yet filed our 2003 return we're instead submitting last year's W2s and 2001, 2002 returns.

The reply should go to USCIS tomorrow. Here's hoping that they'll approve us soon!
