....do I need to make copies of all the bills, joint accounts etc... or just bring the originals for the officer to make the copies ?

make your own copies..you never know what kind of temper or mood your officer would be in when you go there so make their work n outcome for yourself easier...

Ema, make copies of everything you plan to take to your appointment, including copies of ID’s, passports and all other documents you have. Bills too, unless you don’t care if officer takes them.
He or she wont’ run to the copier machine for you, but rather will take your originals.
It would be better and easier if you bring originals to show and copies for them to keep.

What's an A#? :-/ Does it stand for Alien No? Hmm if so, may be it is applicable to only the LPRs and not a USC. Can someone plz clear my doubt?

Yes, A stands for Alien Number. It is applicable to USCs (naturalized) as well as to LPRs. It is on the Naturalization Certificate.
 
Are photos needed also ? You know, the passport photos ? Or they'll use the ones I sent with all the forms ? Thanks !

I was wondering... because there is a lot of events (wedding...) we filmed on video camera, is it ok to bring the cassettes and the camera in case they want to see what happened ? Sorry if my question seems stupid ! :o

P.S. : I would like to know also is it "risky" to show proof of prior kidcare (medicare) documents ? Thanks a bunch for any input !
 
It seems that I will have a problem finding someone to look after my daughter on the day of my interview. She is three and a half. Is it going to be a "big" problem to bring her also at the interview ?? Any similar situation out there ?

Hi, Ema!
In one of my earlier posts I recommended you to not take your daughter because of possible inconvenience and distractions. But if you have no other choice – then take her, sure! And don’t worry, INS people won’t say anything. Just bring some toys for her, because those rooms are small and very children-unfriendly.
When I had my interview last week there were two coupes with small children waiting. One couple went before us and they had no problems taking a baby in a stroller with them.

P.S. KidCare state insurance is not a means-tested public benefit. Even if you have or had Medicaid – it won’t count against you.
Furthermore – I don’t know if they even let you in a building with video camera…. in my DO they specifically asked to leave camera/video phones in a car and here you are wondering about video camera….. :confused: I don’t know. Dip92 wrote he was going to take wedding DVDs to his appointment, but he never said if they watched it or not. Most likely they will acknowledge that you have all that staff, but won’t review it. They have only about 20-30 min for every couple.

I am gonna take only the vhs that I got, and we'll see :rolleyes: . About my daughter, I know she'll be quiet and nice. If I really don't get nobody to take care of her for this day, she'll come with us ;) .

So, you are ukrenian... My husband AND parents come from Bosnia, but I was born in France. My husband lived from 95 to 99 in Germany (where we met) and then came to the US on a refugee status (because of the war in Bosnia). If he had stayed in Germany, he would have to go back in Bosnia... So he went in the US and then call me to come see him. I went there three times, and the third time, I stayed, and overstayed... :o . And, VOILA, after 4 years now, I finally got to get the Green Card !! :D . I can't wait until the interview !!!!!!! I find some hospital bills from 2001 and 2002 that I can show too !!!!! :) .

I have the translation of my son's, my husband's and my birth certificates, dated from march (or may of last year). Is it still ok to take them at the interview or should we get new ones ?
