Does anyone know long does it take after fingerprinting notice to receive RFE? In my case it took exactly three months. Is that minimum? Or can it happen earlier. My husband took his fingerprints in mid July (he applied for adjustment in January 1997, yes 1997!).
I was just wondering what the shortest possible timeframe is.
Also, do people who have had their interview (my husband had his eight months after he applied, in Oct. 1997 -- back then, those still existed), also get asked for additional evidence? I was just wondering if perhaps those people were saved the trouble since they have suffered more because they waited longer. (yeah right!?) Thanks.
By the way, I really think that those dates and numbers on the BCIS web site are bogus. Bullshit, if you will. Do you really believe they mean what they post there? Don't you know of anyone from 1997 who is still waiting? I certainly do. My husband applied in january of 1997 and is still waiting. According to that web site, his group (and mine too) have long been taken care of. (And I only got my approval a few weeks ago). And I know two other people from 1997 who are still waiting and are from different countries. I don't mean to discourage any of you from 1999 and beyond, but there really is no sense in clinging to those numbers because they don't mean much. And if you have already taken your fingerprints, consider yourselves lucky and priviledged because those from 1997 and early 1998 envy you.
All best,
M.
