Another NSC screw up

My I-485 was approved on February 28,2005.ND Dec 5 2002.I’m the primary and my wife is dependant. She didn’t receive her approval so we contacted INS.Nebraska date is January 1st 2003 so the Immigration officer didn’t want to start an inquiry because we had to wait 30 days after the official date(what a load of c…).So I hung up and called again .This time I gave them November 19th as a received date(which was true,but the notice date was Dec 5,2002).So they started an inquiry. I wrote a letter to the Director of NSC as well. I didn’t here from then in the next 2 weeks, so I decided to contact a senator.
My wife called INS today again and she were told that her case was sent for security clearance on May 2 2005.Unbelieveble!!! I think the inquiry took their attention and they found out the case was misplaced or whatever.
Who knows how long it is going to take for the security clearance.Looks like INS doesn’t have clear procedures and it is a big mess.Hopefully I’ll here from them soon

I know exactly how you must feel. My dependant was also left behind (I was approved 02/17/05) after RFE was submitted and received by NSC (03/01/05). Just an online message "you will receive a written decision about this case" after that. However, after I checked later tonight - my kid has hot an approval!
