Another INS Bummer!!! APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - An RFE Case

Hi,

  I got mail from my lawyer today that my I-485 has been approved
on Feb 1, 2002. It got approved in one day after AVM acknowledged
the RFE response. I heard my approval on AVM on 4th Feb but waited
to confirm as I wanted to be sure this time..

RD: 4/23
ND: 6/20
FP: 10/30 (11/27)

RFE issued by INS: 12/26 (This was the first bummer when AVM said that
                          case is approved).

RFE responded : 1/25

AVM Updated on RFE response: 1/31

Case Approved: 2/1

Where did you do you FP ? I am interested to know because I did on FP pn 10/30 at San Jose, and am waiting for approval.

RFE Details

The RFE was for -
   - last 2 years of W2 forms
   - 4 recent pay-stubs and
   - employment verification letter.

It took a long time to respond to RFE because my employer was
using 3rd party pay-roll services for part of the last two years
and the lawyer wanted evidance of that to show it to INS in order
to avoid another RFE.

It seems to me that most cases on the RFE Tracking site have been approved. It should be encouraging to people who are still waiting for approvals.
