Please allow me to announce the formation of a new group to address some common issues faced by the Non-Resident Indian population.

We often face some common issues such as ...
- transferring money to India (legally that is ;-))
- sending gifts
- how to tackle incompatibilities in video formats and voltages
- international phone call rates
- air tickets
and many more.

A lot of us have already faced these issues and a lot of us will face them in future. This forum would help us in not only getting a quick answer but also open up a wide range of possible solutions, instead of just what your desi colleague knows. The good samaritan spirit that has helped us tackle some really sticky issues about immigration will help us in our future lives together as well. I request you join this forum.

Also, remember that you can hide your email address and also choose not to receive email messages for every message posted to the group.

I always wanted to form some group but was not sure how far it will be welcomed. I faced the same problem and I still like to know the best things to make our life easy. Knowledge is Power. We all benefit by sharing this common information.
