An understanding : How much time still

Hi,

I am very new to GC technology. Luckily my LCA got delivered to attoryny in just 12 days ( including postal time) from the date it was applied.

I am now about to apply I-140 soon in the next 2 to 3 months.

I am very confused about regression for i-485 and got lost and confused after reading some posts. ( like someone says that his PD is 2002 and he has to wait 1 year to be current. If so, my PD is 2006, then does that mean I need to wait for 5 years?. I guess I rather go back to India )

my LCA applied on 28 Feb 2006.

I would like to know how many years I have to wait in order to apply I-485. The lawyer is not responding to this particualr question and hence stopped asking her.

I hear some new bills for immigration will be introduced. will that include Eb3 also or just illegal immigrants only?. It hurts very bad when someone who is illegal gets direct citizenship compared to someone who work legimately for a legimate company.

can you please help me in undersatnding my status?

1. How many years do I need to wait to apply for I-485?
2. Did the new immigration bill get approved? if so, will that inlcude Eb-3 also?

If you are from India and LC was for EB-3, then change in law is pretty much the only hope !!
