An Important question about re-scheduling FP in INS Oakland office

Hi Everyone,

I have an important question to ask:

Does anyone know how long INS take to re-schedule a missed Finger Printing.
I was out of country when we received the "FP" notice, lucikly my lawyer
got a courtesy copy and she made a request to INS to reschedule my "FP"
notice some 6 weeks back and we haven\'t yet heard from INS yet.

Could some one please tell us whether INS takes more time to reschedule?

We went to INS to try our luck to do "FP" with the expired date, but the
security went and spoke to an officer and came back and told us that we
needed to re-schedule our "FP" and got our original FP notice for re-scheduling.

I want to know whether this would have any conflict with my attorney\'s
request that happened 4 weeks earlier during my absence. I was little concerned since there is a conflict in date and request.

Could some one answer my question please?.

What is the normal time one can expect an answer from INS if one made
a request to reschedule his FP??

Thanks a bunch

Pachai

hi pachai

One can go upto 30 -60 days after the scheduled appointment to INS ASC and request them to do the FP. Attorneys should know this. Attorney should have kept the notice and if you came back 1-2 weeks later and went to do FP it would
have been fine also.

Rescheduling can take upto weeks unless INS reviews the file and sees FP missing.

My 2 cents
