Amended I-140

Hi,
Has anybody had any experience with filing amended I-140 which is required if your company name changes( no mergers or acquisitions no change in TaxID). I have already filed I-485 in sept 99. DO I have to get
a completely new I-140 which will take 5-6 months. Please
respond if you have gone through such type of case....

Did you get an RFE to file a new/amended I-140? If not, I would just keep quiet if I were you and wait till the INS sends one out. In the case of JUST A NAME CHANGE, according to what I have seen/heard, you will not be required to file a new one, if you can sufficiently explain that there were not mergers and/or acquisitions....
